Science Week 2010 Oct.18-21 18. oktober 2010 - 22. oktober 2010

"GLOBAL CHALLENGES" is the title of this year's Transatlantic Science Week. Key topics will be energy, and health and innovation, with special focus on carbon capture and storage technologies, health research and biomedical innovation, and science policy.

Partner institutions are the Research Council of Norway, the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters, The Kavli Foundation, and universities on both sides. Happening concurrently in Washington D.C.: The inaugural ”USA Science and Engineering Festival,” Oct. 10-24, 2010.

Science Week 2010 will, as have previous events, focus on transatlantic cooperation in research, innovation and higher education. Thematic focus in 2010 will include carbon capture and storage, other clean energy technologies and solutions, health registry and biobanks for research, global health, innovation and science policies – and more. Broad and lively policy discussions are an integral part of this forum, which seeks to strengthen cooperation between Norway, the U.S. and Canada.
